1. The Holy Scriptures
I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is truthful, trustworthy, and authoritative in all that it affirms, revealing God's character, His redemptive plan, and His will for humanity. The Scriptures are the supreme standard for faith and practice.
2. The Triune God
I believe there is one eternal God who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and Lord of all things. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, holy, loving, just, and worthy of worship.
3. Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory. Man is saved by the blood of the Lamb.
4. Salvation
I believe that salvation from the penalty of sin is a gift of God's grace, made possible through the atoning death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. This salvation is received through personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Those who are saved are called to live a transformed life through the power of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating their faith through love, obedience, and service according to the teachings of the New Testament.
5. The Holy Spirit
I believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates believers, indwells them, and empowers them for holy living, worship, service, and witness. He guides believers into truth and produces spiritual growth and Christlike character.
John 16:13 But when the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own. He will speak only what he hears. And He will tell you what is still going to happen.6. Creation and Genesis
I believe that God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and that the opening chapters of Genesis faithfully reveal foundational truths about God's creative work, humanity's special creation in His image, the reality of sin, and God's purposes for creation. I affirm the reliability and divine inspiration of Genesis. God is the Creator of the laws of the universe and the Author of the Book of Genesis; therefore, there can be no true disharmony within the laws and truth of God. I believe that the earth was created in six Moses days, and that on the seventh day God sat upon His throne and continues to reign forever.
7. Humanity and God's Image
I believe in the divine creation of the first man about 7,000 years ago and that all people are created in the image and likeness of God. Humanity has fallen into sin and stands in need of God's grace and redemption, yet every person remains the object of God's love and the focus of Christ's redemptive mission.
8. Christ's Return and the Kingdom of God
I believe that Jesus Christ will personally return to consummate His kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and establish the new heavens and the new earth. Believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God, and God's purposes in creation and redemption will be fully accomplished.
